There is no operator link on this page, and no age prompt: nothing here sends you anywhere to play.
What this site stores, and what it does not
taoporchonlynch.net is a set of reading pages. It has no accounts, no sign-up, no comment box, no newsletter and no form of any kind, which means there is almost nothing for a privacy notice to describe. This page says what the one exception is, where it lives, and what happens at the moment you follow a link away from here.
One stored value, and it never leaves your browser
The reading pages carry a button to the operator's site, and clicking it opens a question about
your age first. If you answer that you are old enough, that answer is written into your own
browser's local storage so that the question is not asked again on your next visit. The value is
stored under the key gyr.age.v1, and it records one thing: that the question
was answered.
That value is not a cookie and is not transmitted anywhere. It is written by a script running in
your browser, it is readable only by pages on this domain, and it never reaches this site's
server, because the pages here are static files with no server-side code behind them to receive it.
It does not follow you to another device, and it tells nobody here that you visited.
You can remove it at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings, and
the age question will simply be asked again. In a private window, or a browser configured to block
storage, writing it fails silently and the question is asked every time — which is the intended
behaviour rather than a fault.
What is not collected here at all
There is no analytics script on this site, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no heatmap, no
session recorder and no third-party font or script loaded from somebody else's server. The whole
site is a small number of static files and one short script that does the age question. Nothing
profiles you, and there is nothing to profile with.
No cookies are set by this site. No name, email address, phone number, payment detail or document
is asked for anywhere, because there is nothing here that could use one: no account exists to
create and no transaction exists to make. If a page claiming to be part of this site ever asks you
for a password or a document, it is not part of this site.
The hosting provider that serves these files keeps ordinary server logs, as every web host does,
which typically record the address of the request, the time, the page requested and the browser
string. Those logs are a function of the hosting rather than of anything this site does with them;
they are not used to build any profile and are not combined with anything else.
What happens when you follow the link out
The button on a reading page points at an internal address on this domain. The server answers it
with a redirect to an affiliate tracking address, which in turn sends you to the operator. Two
things are worth knowing about that hop. The first is that the tracking address carries an
identifier for this site, which is how a commission is attributed; it does not carry anything
about you, because this site holds nothing about you to pass on.
The second is that the referrer information sent with the request is limited to this site's origin
rather than the full address of the page you were reading, which is set by a policy this site
declares in its own markup and in its server configuration.
From the moment the operator's site opens in the new tab, you are on somebody else's site under
somebody else's privacy terms, and this site has no visibility into it and no influence over it.
Whatever is collected there, including anything collected if you register, is governed by that
operator's own notice, which is worth reading there — particularly on a platform that is reported
to apply identity checks later rather than at sign-up.
Questions about this notice, or a request to have something about it explained, can go to the
address on contact.
